The Wine News said the following in addition to its 90 pt rating: "Pale gold hue. Fresh-cut grass aromas with wisps of lemon peel and grapefruit. The 2008 Valley of the Moon Pinot Blanc has aromas of honeysuckle, guava and Pink Lady apple accented with hints of mineral and lychee. There are rich and complex flavors of pears, tropical fruits and a hint of tangerine that lead to a creamy finish balanced with bright acidity. Another stellar Merlot from Kelley Creek, this 2007 is sourced entirely from the Alexander Valley. It shows the depth of flavor and intensity that this region is famous for.
