The
Savvy Wine Cellar Wants to Help YOU...
If you're thinking about hosting a holiday party this
season, don't forget to ask us how we can help. We've been planning
for the holidays for several weeks now and our shelves are fully stocked
with many of our customers' favorites. AND we've tasted a lot of
new wines lately that we're really excited about bringing into the
shop. So, make sure you ask us what's new and how we can help make
your holiday party a huge success.
And...
If you need a special bottle of wine for a holiday gift, we can help you
find the right wine to give. Just ask any of our Savvy Staff how we
can help.
And...
If you're building, stocking or restocking your personal savvy wine
cellar, let us know what your needs are so we can help you fill it up
with our unique, affordable wines.
Lastly...
We are available to do in-home wine tastings for small groups.
Treat your friends and family to something different. Make your holiday
party a wine tasting event, instead! Ask us about it the next time you're
in the shop.
This Week at The Tasting Bar
During the early part of this fall season we've been moving from lighter
to medium-bodied wines at The Tasting Bar. Now that November is
here, it's time to settle in with wines that were made to get cozy
with...wines that have a bit more spice or butter; or wines that have
bigger, bolder flavors and linger a little longer on the palate. This
week at The Tasting Bar we're tasting wines that will warm you on a cold,
windy November evening...wines that will enhance the flavors of the
hearty stew you've made for dinner...wines that will pair nicely with
that book you've been wanting to read by the fire. So hurry on over
to The Savvy Wine Cellar and join us at The Tasting Bar Thursday and
Friday from 5-8 p.m. and Saturday from 1-5 p.m. Here's what we're
pouring:
G&M Machmer
Bechtheimer Stein Gewürztraminer Spätlese 2007, Germany
Hayman & Hill
Chardonnay 2007, California
Domaine des Anges,
Grenache Syrah Blend, 2006, France
Mark West Pinot Noir
2007, California
Louis M Martini
Cabernet Sauvignon 2007, California

Savvy Recipe of the Week
Last Wednesday (October 28) at our "Talking
Turkey" class we sampled three Thanksgiving dressings and a
cranberry orange relish. These dishes (apparently) were a big hit with a
lot of folks who attended the class because they asked us to put the
recipes in today's newsletter. Recipes for Traditional
Bread Dressing with Onions, Celery and Pecans; Hot
Italian Sausage Dressing; and Fruited
Dressing with Cranberries, Apples and Leeks; and Cranberry
Orange Relish can be found by clicking on the provided
link. Thanks for asking!
